Many factors contribute to training length. A lot will depend on your goal(s) and how far along the dog is when received. Basic obedience, collar conditioning, force fetch training, and introduction to birds and gunfire typically take 1-2 months. Attaining high performance, such as teaching a dog multiple marks, hand signals, achieving a Master Hunter title, etc require longer and more training.

Yes! Owners are encouraged to partake in their dog’s progress and training. Just give Tim a call to determine when and where training is taking place that day.

You will need a record of vaccinations being up to date which must include Bordatella. You may bring some of your dog’s food if you like. Any medications or special instructions should also be provided. Half a months training fee is also paid at this time. Leashes, dog beds, bowls, etc are not needed.

I feed Purina Pro Plan Performance Formula. If you want your dog to eat a different type of food you may provide enough for your dog’s stay.

The brand you use is up to you. Tri-Tronics and Dogtra are two popular brands used by professional trainers. It is important that your collar can deliver both a continuous and a momentary stimulation.

Yes! As much as possible! Puppies should be well-socialized, introduced to birds and retrieving, and be working on obedience. Being comfortable in a crate, both at home and in a vehicle, is highly beneficial. The more your dogs knows upon arrival the more it can learn during it’s training!

Pretty much every day!
